Wink Interviews

I have my first interview ever tomorrow for a teller position at Bank of America and I have to say I am really nervous. I can't imagine how it's going to feel like when I get my first intview for a software engineer position later on in the future.

How nervous were you guys on your first interview?

My first interview was for a job feeding meat patties into the broiler at a fast food place. I didn't give a **** if I got it, so I was perfectly relaxed.

Turns out I got the job. In a month I moved up to cooking fries and onion rings. In another month they actually taught me how to make a hamburger. Two months after that they wanted to make me assistant manager, and I finally realized the job was so far beneath me that I shouldn't be there. So I bolted and never looked back.

hehe.. memories =)

i worked for b of a for 2 years as a teller when i first got out of high school. it was a pretty good job for me at the time.. led to better things, .. but they aren't the most generous bank as far as the pay goes.

don't be nervous.. they need tellers i'm sure. as long as your background check passes.. and you appear clean cut and dressed appropriately, you will probably get it.

i got robbed at one of the vista branches at gunpoint .. it was an interesting experience .. had to go to federal court and testify against the guy. he wasn't very bright.

after 5 years in the banking industry, i swore i'd never go back .. ( and i haven't )

good luck with the interview.. don't be nervous .. just walk in there and talk to them. they are just people.

Exclamation Damn!

I didn't even take the interview today. They had me fill out some paper work and then I had to take some sort of teller test that tested on some first grade stuff.

I wish I had taken the interview today because I was ready to go! And the recruiter lady looked really good!

Oh well, they said I will be taking a phone interview which I believe will make it a whole lot easier. I'll just write down what I am going to say and read it off then.

dont write down the exact things you want to say ... just make a list of main words/subjects ... that way you can interact more easily with the person on the other end of the phone
