xine question

Hey guys,

Recently I installed xine-lib and then xin-ui, all the most current versions. However, when I try to play an mpg, the screen has only very little color and these odd stripes that go up and down. I was wondering if the settings can be altered to fix this or if there is a fix for this.

BTW - I followed the INSTALL document rathen than the website, I also su'd before I ../configure;make;make install

Any Ideas?

Ilya.

uhhh.. what mpeg format are you playing? I always seem to have problems with mpeg-2, but after installing other players and getting the same results, I discovered it was a probelm completely unrelated to xine. The problem can lie with how your graphics card is configured or quite a number of other variables.

My only suggestion would be to post this at www.linuxquestions.org

Is that my favorite WM I see?

Did you notice the WM32 codecs? Allows you to play Windows Media Player files if you are interested.
