/etc/hosts

Lately all the pop-up/banner ads have begun to piss me off. So I started tinkering with /etc/hosts and I have:

127.0.0.1 localhost
localhost doubleclick.net
localhost fastclick.net
localhost ad-flow.com
localhost burstnet.com
# End of hosts.

but I still see all the ads, I know I gotta be doing something wrong....

never mind, a reboot and some re arranging fixed it. Now half these banner ads don't even work

why not making a script that closes any banners with that URL?

I like playing with /etc/hosts on MY box....
