auto CTRL+L

OK, whenever I use centerICQ or BitchX I always have to do CTRL+L to update the terminal and it's begging to really "PISS ME OFF" to put in light/non-swearing terms Is there any way to somehow do it? just some way? even to do CTRL+L once I can loop it or something, I just need this, I am going crazy!
