sis900 network redhat 7.3

hi,

i have just installed redhat 7.3 on my computer, it seems to work ok ... except the network.

it seems to have some problems with the driver .. or cant find any devices ?

as you can see its all still very vague to me

does anyone know anything about the sis900 (onboard) driver and redhat 7.3 ?

never used that card.

the easiest/cheapest thing to do, go out and buy a new NIC they are like $15

figure it wouold take you 2 hours to figure out at $20 an hour. that is $40 right there.

the problem is that its my computer at work ... a small tower (very small) which my boss bought quite cheap (p4 1700 with just 128 mb ram ) (will get more ram soon.....)

the network (card) is onboard on the sis motherboard

a colleague of me has the same type of computer ... bit an earlier version .. with an older motherboard as well .. he got it easily to work ... he couldnt get mine running either ..

ah well ... we will have some more looks at it after the christmass hollidays

what driverss have you tried ?

maybe the eepro, eexpress or eepro100 will work, it seems to handle most onboard NICs.
