ok, i got partition magic so i could do this stuff right. it allowed me to create as many logical partitions as i wanted.
so basically i installed partition magic on my existing win2k box. i created partitions for redhat and debian.
then i installed redhat on the logical partitions that were already created. it installed and worked perfectly.
now for the redhat 8 news. the install was smoothe. i did not need any special x-configurations, .. it recognized all my devices (including scsi and firewire) just fine... although i have not tested them yet.
i opened up mozilla, and i am very very happy about 2 things. my MOUSE WHEEL SCROLLS THE PAGE!! ... also, .. after filling out a form, such as user/pass, i can press ENTER w/o pressing tab, and it submits the form. WOW!! now this is something i can work with
i just now got it installed and working nicely as a dual boot with win2k, and i'm pretty damn impressed ( with the gui anyway )
now i'll go tinker some more .. i'm really interested if it will let me mount my firewire hard drive, .. or my scsi cdrw drive =)
