Debian: stable / test

So I've heard that Sarge is going to be promoted to 'stable' soon.

My question is: when I run an update after sarge goes stable, will it upgrade all my existing Woody software to Sarge?

its been a little while since i used Debian, and even longer since i was on it during a version xfer, but i believe your going to want to do a apt-get dist-upgrade to bring up all the security issues and full file tree. I could be wrong, so some please correct me if i am.
