Shell inside webbrowser

hi,

i am looking for some kind of shell/terminal/telnet/.. inside the webbrowser ...

i have a 'computer' (not a simple pc, but some machine) which can be reached fir dial-up .. there is a webserver and ftp server running on it .. i can reach it via ssh
i would love to have some area in a webpage which functions as a shell for 'simple' commands like cd/ls/ps/kill/...

for example i would like to have a java @pplet which can be placed on any webpage and which offers a shell running on the webserver

dont if this is possible though

does anyone have any suggestions ?

Well, this could be as simple as just doing a simple cgi script that does the command and outputs the commands output in a <pre> tag set. This would be the simplest shell possible..the problems arise when you want to run top or other ncurses based apps, or anything that isn't 'single shot' stuff.

Webmin is free, and it contains a shell-interface, in addition to many other functions. I've used it for several years now, and it's pretty solid.
