is DHCP getting confused?

that 'last message repeated X times' is kinda weird. a couple of my terminals arent connectioning to the server on their first boot, perhaps that is the cause?

any ideas?

I've managed a small system where there were only 4 PC's running against the local DHCP server, with a static entry in the leases file for every machine, and even that created logs like these..

Don't know if it has anything todo with the lease time or where it could be, but if you have a short lease time, then the machien will request the IP once more, the dhcp telling the machine it can have it, the machine accepting the IP, dhcp sending OK here it is.. How ever this only produces thre log entries, so the last message reported 4 times dosn't quite follow that scenario.

i figured it out

we are running a M$ DHCP machine & our linux DHCP machine. they were sending requests to each other.

the M$ machine is going away.
