how are you writing your applications?
Do you use Netbeans or Eclipse?
Do you not bother to correct the errors so that your program is at least syntactically correct, and that it can be ran at each step of your development?

I'd suggest trying to put them into separate files and compiling them. This will help track down dangling braces problems.
Also, what is the output when you try to compile it?
