port scanner

does anyone have a program for a port scanner in java??? please if anyone has one can you mail it to me at adityasharma14@gmail.com
hope i'm not breaking any rules of the community but the thing is that i've just started learning java some time back. i know very little network programming.
i need a port scanner to move further in a project i'm working on.... the rest i can manage, but i could really use some help with the port scanning module..

any help will be greatly appreciated..

You're in luck, because Sun has provided a detailed tutorial on network programming in Java. You should be able to quickly pickup everything you need from that. If you have a specific question, feel free to ask about it.
