i got "java 2 from scratch" by que. i'm jumping on the bandwagon

Let me know how you like it. People are always asking for good books. I used Beginning Java by Ivor Horton. Well, that and the Sun course materials. I also like Thinking in Java (partly because it's free online as a pdf), but also because it does a good job with the object oriented explanation.

i've been scanning the book, .. not really tried anything yet. it looks less intimidating than i thought it would. now i just gotta give it a try =)
