Question Automatically scrolling text

Any ideas on how to get text to scroll back and forth in a text field? If I were using just a plain JPanel I would just edit the paint method, but I don't really have any ideas for a text field.

I take it a JScrollPane isn't applicable?

Send a message via AIM to teknomage1
Counldn't you treat your text as an array of characters and just rotate the characters in the array and update the value of the textfield?
eg
Hello World
ello WorldH
llo WorldHe

etc.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I was on a short vacation.
That is another good suggestion. But I just ended up using a JPanel and modified the paint method and added some others. I will post the code if someone asks for it, otherwise, I will save me a few seconds
