checking system configuration with JAVA

hi
i wanna know is ther some API available with JAVA using which i can know the processor speed, RAM in the system, amount of hard disk in the system
if not is there something i can do to know bout this ??
all ur answers r most welocme

You can use exec() method off Runtime to call system commands to get that information. It won't be cross-platform however.

Not in the core libraries. And any other API would have to use JNI or a runtime to discover that information.
