| Website templates So, I'm pretty good with HTML/CSS/etc - I can put together a site without too much difficulty. But I suck at graphic design. I've had numerous people ask me about making them a website, and while I have the technical know-how, I don't know how to make a good *looking* site.
I've looked at templates, but everytime I look for templates using Google, I end up with a million sites with the exact same templates for sale, which strikes me as shady. Additionally, a lot of the templates seem geared towards e-commerce, which generally isn't what people are asking me for (think simple "Hey, I have a webpage").
Anyone gone the template route before? Any suggestions for a good site to get them from? |

| Looks like the same for me, I suck at graphics.
Sorry Belisarius, I've never encountered an easy to use template, allways ended up biting the bullet and on my 10th try finaly made something that looked decent. |

| every template i've bought sucked to work with and quality was ****ty. if they have a tiny budget, then it's fine, go with a template.
if they care to put money into design, create a rough wireframe and then have someone create a custom design.

| That's what my experience has been with most templates, but while searching this time, I came across a site called FrontPage Templates | Dreamweaver Website Templates | Expression Web Templates, which seems to put some effort into creating templates that can be modified to some extent. Some of their templates look like they'd work for what I'm trying to do - I was wondering if anyone had used them before.
Also, where do you guys get imagery for your sites? Finding decent pictures for free/cheap has always driven me nuts. |
