javascript seems to have gone a little silly..

im trying to put a nested script statement in my asp page code, i.e.

Code:

<%
response.write("this is an asp page")
%>

<script language="javascript">

x = window.open("about:blank", etc);
x.document.write("<html><body> ..etc");
x.document.write("<script language=javascript>");
x.document.write("function y(){ return x; } ");
x.document.write("</script>");
</script>

now this crashed in asp caused it says "can't have nested script statements.."

so.. i trick it like this:

x.document.write("<scri");
x.document.write("pt language=javascript>");
//etc...

and this really messes things up
someone try it and tell me why

nevermind, i just doubley tricked it and that fixed it.

thatd give an error, "/" isn't a special character...
