css sliding div effect

Happy new year!

I'm looking for a tutorial or link that will push me in the right direction on creating something like the "Best of Answers" section near the top of

http://answers.yahoo.com/

Watch it for a moment . . . it moves between information panels automatically with a bit of animation. Any thoughts on how they did this? I know it's a mix of divs, javascript, and DOM, but I have no idea where to begin creating it myself.

check out http://script.aculo.us/

it looks like they are fading the original div while sliding in the other div.

scriptaculous is a js lib to use for things just like this. it's not the most intuitive library to use, but you should be able to acheive the effect you want with it.
