Update Website without HTML

I am currently creating a website for the company where I work. They want to be able to then update the site without the use of html. How can I set this up? Can someone help me out or direct me to some website?

Thanks

Update, without html ??
Are you thinking of a php/mysql solution, where they, through a web user interface, can change what is displayed on the pages ?
Kinda like our own codenewbie here..

I'm sorry I don't understand. I followed the link but I'm not sure what you were referring to. I don't know php at all but yes, I guess I'd need a web interface to change what is displayed on the pages.

what I'm refering to, is that the frontpage here on codenewbie is actualy formed in a combination of the latest 10 blogs, and the latest 10 threads posted in the news section

A way of setting up a website to be controled like that, would be to use active serverpages (php/asp/perl/...) in a combination with some sql server (mysql/plsql/mssql/oracle/...)

Thanks, I now understand. I've started to create a database (actually Access because I don't have sql here) and then I'll have the site pulling the data from the db. I will then create another site (password protected) where the database can be populated. Does that make sense?

Thanks

If you don't feel up to doing the entire design yourself, look into Mambo (http://www.mamboserver.com/). It's some awesome OSS that allows you to manage a site from an entirely graphical interface, and it is suprisingly intuitive. I use it on a site that I admin and I must say that it has saved me hours!
