Exclamation i have a quetion that needs answered plz...

k im not that good at this whole html thing but im trying. and i was wondering if u could put a login screen on the html and use it to log onto the website. if its possible how can i do that. plz.

do you host your own site? or do you have a hosting company? most of the time, with a hosting company, they allow you to password protect a directory.

if you don't have that, then you are left with 2 different options.

1. javascript ( this is bad ) .. javascript runs on the client side, so it will most likely very easily be hacked.

2. server-side scripting. you can use server-side scripting languages such as php, asp, or jsp to do this .. the draw back is that you must have support for one of these languages, and also have a little experience to program it.

give us a little more information .. do you host your own site? do you have any server-side languages available? does your web host ( if you have one ) offer password protection? how sensitive is the content of your site?

i have a question that needs answered plz....

yeah i have a host but i want to make my own login screen but i dont know how to put it in the html where it will let the guests type their passwords in...

does your host supply you with a control panel to manage your site? the easiest say will be to ask them how you can password protect a directory.

no my host does not have a password protected directory option.
i was wanting to make my own login screen but i dont know how to load it where i can use the spaces already provided.

do they offer php? i'm afraid there isn't any simple solution for you except find a real web host. ( www.vilitas.com )

below is an example of how you can do it with php .. but i don't know if you wanted to go that route.

ill keep working on the rest of the site for a while and then try to figure it out later unless u have msn and can explain it easier on there cuz im a little confused.
