| We've had a lot of trouble in the past and have been meaning to address the issue. Your inquiry gave me a little kick to do it.
Often, people join the forums just to put a link in their sig for the purpose of SEO. They might make a post, but that's about it.
We try to discourage this, although we do want to allow contributing members of the community access to this feature. If there is an open system which allows anyone to post outbound links, the quality of the forum content gets compromised and moderators must work harder to keep track of this stuff.
Now there is logic in place that will enable signatures for only regularly participating members of the community. |

| um,, while I do fully understand what your talking about and this is why I asked.
and I wont lie that the links are basically for SEO for back links, and if there are music or art fans...
but this is all why I asked,, should I remove them, or can I have one or two ? do u have anything in mind ?
thx for your response, this is a great site, i hope to some day be able to communicate with the members on the forum, I'm still just looking now |

| yeah, don't take that personal. it's something we've been discussing in the mod forum for a long time.
you can still setup signatures in the profile, .. they will just not appear in public posts until certain criteria are met. this is automated, no one is making this choice on a person by person basis. |

| I've desperately been awaiting this day, for the sig-link automation to be activated
Four thumbs up.... errr.. two...
Hmmm... shouldn't my user qualify as one, where the signature is accepted ?? |
