Post upgrade db issue

Hi folks!

I just upgraded to OS X Leopard and unfortunately I had to basically to a complete reinstall to get it to work. Anyway one of the things I had to "clean up" afterwards was transferring a few dbs off of my old set-up to my new one. Last time I did this everything went okay and I was able to be up and running in a few minutes. This time though either permissions are not right or the group isn't because I can't seem to grant my user permissions to the dbs. If I look at the grant tables I am the only one with access and limited at that.

Unfortunately at this moment I am at work and won't be able to get more data for you until about 5 pm central but if you could make some suggestions on what little info I have given or more info you need I would appreciate it.

Well I figured it out. The problem was the group memberships. This mysql install was set up in the file system differently than my previous version. So even as root I was shut out from modifying these dbs and granting permissions on them.

I had to move copies from my old drive again, reassign the groups, delete the dbs from my new install then move the fixed ones in again. Worked fine and my dbs are back up and running. Now I have to contact HP to tell them one of their scanners is forked in Leopard (show up in devices but the software they give you with the scanner says the scanner is not there >)
