another off the wall query

sorry, couldnt help the pun

anywho.... working with Visual Studio.NET, and playing with the installer
creator, and i want to set an install condition of mssql server 2000 or greater in
the install file.

dont know if anyone has ever done this, but i cant seem to find anything on the
internet that is telling me anything.

I'm not sure how to determine if it is installed, but you could do a file search condition on master.mdf, it is a file that must exist for SQL server to work properly. If this file exists, you can make a good gues that SQL server is installed.
