C++ Workshop

Well, welcome to the C++ workshop!! Basically, this area is designated for two functions. As a third year CSC student, I have some pretty solid C++ programming knowledge. Therefore I will be having a weekly thread here relate to various C++ topics designed for the intermediate programmer.

Each thread will (hopefully) introduce a certain concept, but mainly code by example rather than spend about 40 pages explaining it. Hopefully that could be left to some links for those who want a more "in-depth" study. People can also reply to each thread if they have questions about a certain aspect or want to share something interesting about the concept, which comes to the second function.

Most of my classes will have us learn something and then won't go into it any further. We'll spend a week on file input/output and then move on. Then, about a year later, we have an assignment requiring file i/o and find ourselves fumbling through our intro to C++ book. So this will help me and other programmers who are in need of refreshing some skills and, even more importantly, I may post something basic and someone else will reply with a more efficient way of performing the task!

I'll also end each thread with some type of practice problems that will help you develop your understanding of the concept.

Well, if you have any comments or suggestions, don't hesitate to message me!

There will be a few rules though.
1) No threads will be allowed outside of the lesson threads. Any thread started outside of them will be deleted.
2) I will not take requests to do homework. If you are having some particular problems with something, message me and I may post a thread on it.
3) If you are welll versed in C++ and wish to also post some lessons, let me know and I'll let you post.
