Disadvantages of assembly ?

Assembly has it's disadvantages, it takes an awfull lot of code lines to achieve, what 4 lines of C code does..
It also has it's disadvantages, that it requires alot of knowledge in order to be readable, and therefor is a difficult language to debug.

On the other hand, you own the memory at hand, and can do what ever you want, and not feel restricted by some damned garbadge collector or error checking..

You can also make shellcode to address the ALU directly.

The biggest disadvantage I can think of is the disparity in development time between ASM and C. Fortunately, that's more than made up for by the flexibility of the code, the miniscule binaries, and the lightning-fast execution speeds.
