Cool looking for code (javascript?) for e-mail link to self for webpage

I am making a webpage and would like to make a link that enables a person to e-mail a message to our e-mail address, but without just opening the default e-mail program (usually Outlook or Outlook Express - I hate that!), but instead I want there to be a form to fill out with the sender's e-mail address, subject and content directly in the webpage and then it just sends. I've seen other webpages with this using various coding languages. I think I'd like to use javascript for this and not something like .ASP (I don't know other coding languages and don't know database programming, which I think is needed for .ASP) Can anybody help me with this?

This would be accomplished best through PHP. PHP is really easy to learn and there are lots of people here who can help you with it.
For getting started there are a bunch of sites that come up if you type "PHP tutorial" into google. And as for doing mail specifically, php has a nice mail() command, that you can use in conjunction with data obtained from a form.

For a task like this, you'd use server-side languages like ASP/PHP/Perl but creating the same in Javascript, I've never seen it.. Since you can't control if the viewer has any settings telling you how their browser should send/treat emails, Javascript is in myoppinion a poor substitute for error checking in this comparison.
