I know this is off topic, but is it possible to create a program that only reads and displays the simple binary code on a CD? Any reply is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

There's a unix utility called "cat" that does that. What are you wanting to do?

I want to try and use the code to make a radio transmitter transmit a digital code.

I came up with this strange idea a few days ago.

What are we talking here? Some code that will access the cd as a raw device ? Reading from sector 1 until reaching the end, or something that will see every track on the cd and read them binary, one by one ?
What OS are we dealing with here ? windows/linux/OS X
Is this supposed to be some sort of streaming util ? If so, it might be easier to build a plugin to an existing player, so you can transmit the output as radiovawes instead of sound.

I'm dealing with XP. We're talking about reading a CD for only the 0s and 1s, as they appear on the disk itself.

You can get "cat" for windows with cygwin or a native port unxutils.sourceforge.net/. If you want to code something in C you just have to look up how to access the cdrom device and then read from the stream a byte at a time.
