I say them all like they are words. CHMOD = "Chuh'mod" (Short "o" in "off," not like "own")

I also pronounce the acronym "ETC" as the entire word "et cetera." (Originated from Latin; "et" meaning "and," and "cetera" meaning "the rest.")
