dynamic dns?

i'm not sure i totally understand, but regardless if i have my interal network setup dynamic or static, .. i still need a way to find out my external ip.

i run remote admin, and some other remote utilities that allow me to get into my network from work. so if my external ip changes, then i would not know my ip, until i got home to check it.

i have a version of this app that works, i would just be out of luck if the web server that prints the ip was down at the same time the ip changed.
