OK, I am a complete newbie at C, and I have been learning from the book "The C Programming Language." I heard it was a good book to start off with.

My problem is with the first chapter, which is the "Tutorial Introduction." At the end of every section they give you a couple of exercises, and at first they were pretty easy, given the program they just explained. However, as I got deeper into the chapter the exercises began to get harder(Particulary Exercise 1-13) and the explanations for the programs began to get vague.

Now my question is this, should I be able to do all of these exercises and understand the tutorial programs? Thank you guys in advance.
