Yeh, thats my personal reason for the Intel over the AMD. My CPU fan broke on my one time, and my P4 managed to hold itself together, I dont think any AMD would live long w/out a HSF.
Also, I have heard alot of people complain about breaking their AMD chips due to their Construction, while putting Heat Sinks on them. (I dunno exactally, like scratching them...)
Finally, I can't see why AMD have to have the names of all their chips @ like Athalon 2100+ when the processor is only like 1700mhz. That to me just seems like a cheap marketing ploy for unweary players.
But Intel for me, unless AMD come up with some magical new archetecture that you can get real cheap and that can overclock a heap, and will no burn up and break when I put a new HSF on it.
