my intel p4 1.7ghz is my workhorse for my home computer .. i have another amd xp2000 box i use for a test box. i notice that i do have more problems with amd when installing 'non windows' o/s.
i do run a couple web/game servers 24/7 on amd processors though .. primarily because of the price.
