sde is on a distinguished road
debian and apache/php/mysql

this just sucks. woody won't install apache/php/mysql right.

apt-get install mysql-server apache php4 php4-mysql

even when i install apache by itself, the modules do not load correctly. it won't even let me start the server.

i've tried to install from the binaries as per the php manual, but when i go to "make" apache 1.3.27 , it says "no target found"

is it me? or do people just not do this? the only distro i can install apache/php/mysql on and make them all work together is rh7.2 .. not even 7.3 or 8.0. i'm at a point where throwing windows on the box seems like a wonderful solution.
