password protect shared folders...

...without WinXP PROFESSIONAL.
That's the catch eh? I know how todo it with WinXP Pro, but if the computers are using XP Home I know you can't turn off Simple File Sharing. Is there a program or something that can be run, maybe some mini server on one of the computers?
The situation is that there's a network of computers but 3 users work together and would like to share folders with each other but don't want the entire network to be able to access these folders. The solution needs to be simple simple (yes, simple twice) because it will be average computer users doing to network sharing and if it's too complicated they just won't use it.
I'm thinking about this myself, but any ideas would be appreciated.
