Hello all,
For those of you who don't know me, and hasn't been around the
Introduction thread, my name is Kenneth Redhead Heide Nielsen, or in short redhead/red, I will be one of the assistants here along side with Valmont, and since I live in Denmark, the timeslot spend here will most likely be the same hours of the day as Valmont.
My main subject will be C, but occasionaly I will turn towards C++ but usualy Valmont handles those questions, while I will handle anything C related.
Since any ANSI/ISO C/C++ code is more likely to be cross platform compliant, I will tend to keep my answers as ANSI/ISO strict as possible.
Asking for help
When asking questions in this forum, it is
not polite to ask for a solution to your homework, without showing you've actualy given it a shot. Which means asking questions that appears to be a complete copy of the assignment, is a sure way to bee ignored.
Should you get stuck in your assignment, please provide as much information as you can regarding:
- what you've tried
- what you think the final program should do
- a description of what any required input would look like
A very good way of gaining respect from us here at CodeNewbie, is to show what code you've tried, or some links to the information you've found, that beeing
searching this forum for past threads regarding similar issues, or
googling for a solution.
Posting habits
When you realise you've found a solution or if your previus post dosn't seem to matter anymore, please don't just delete it, it makes understanding and reading the thread for anyone other than us moderators a hasle, since very importain information shared in the deleted posts will be lost for the average viewer.
Remember anything posted here at CodeNewbie will remain cached in searchengines, and searchers around the world wont understand the info they thought to derive from CodeNewbie.
