This sounds like my niece. She's almost 3. One night around midnight, she got up and decided she wanted to watch TV. Nothing amazing there. But she also decided she wanted popcorn to go with her movie, so she pulled up a chair, and
1) got microwave popcorn out of the cabinet
2) put the popcorn in the microwave and started it
3) took the popcorn out and put it in a bowl
4) carried the bowl in front of the TV
5) got a blanket to make her self comfortable

Her mother heard the TV and thought someone had left it on. Instead, she discovered her daughter watching Nickelodeon.
