Possible to prevent images in a page from caching?

Is there some sort of HTML directive I can put in the page (maybe a META tag) that will prevent images on the page from being cached? I want to force browsers to reload the images every time the pages is viewed.

(It's for a script I have that allows people to upload photos. If they replace a photo with one of the same filename, they can't see the new photo until they refresh their browser. Causes confusion with dumb computer users.)
