Tell them you're not as productive unless you can use 1182 or greater resolution. Otherwise the screen is too small and its difficult to have many programs open. I requested a new monitor (19) and a PC when I was hired. The old PC + 15" was unacceptable.

(ps. is it really necessary to put disclaimers on your sql 'code' on your site? The examples are so basic that virtually any sql-based project is going to use something similar.
