Mmilano, I was referring more to logical and physical data modeling and how UML doesn't really address it. Datatype mapping (to the database) is also a problem, but is usually handled in the software.

Speaking of which, you should check out ArgoUML. They have a free version that works either standalone or integrates with Forte for Java. I don't remember the URL.
