If it was just a question, why would you ask it if he answered you in the previous post (other than as a jab)? And besides, the obvious implication of your question was that a class shouldn't be needed to learn Java, so feigning innocence is hopeless.

I don't mean to pick a fight, maybe it's just my mood today, but saying "You needed a class to learn Java?" is insulting, without a doubt, since there's really no situation I can think of where it wouldn't be offensive.

No hard feelings, I just think that if there's one place a programmer should be able to ask an honest question without fear of condescending response, it should be a place like this.
